LOCATION IN MILLPORT

 

Millport Sea View overlooks the harbour (photo shown on the home page), which is only 10 metres away.  There is a small beach in the harbour, when the tide is out.  However, Visitors make good use of the beaches further along the promenade.  There are choices of beaches either 5, 10 or 15 minutes walk away.

 

There are many beaches around the island and in Millport town itself.  There are children’s play parks; plenty of walks; and routes for bike rides.  The Garrison House has recently been refurbished and includes a museum, library and cafe.  There is the Marine Station with its museum and with fish tanks of the local sea life.  There is a Golf Club with great views across the island. There are numerous shops (including one of the best Toy Shops), cafes and pubs in Millport.  

 

 

BEDLINEN

 

Beds all have duvets, 2 pillows per person, and mattress covers.  Bedlinen and towels can be hired at a cost of £10.00 per person (minimum charge £20.00) and comprises of double duvet cover, bottom sheet, pillowcases, 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person and 1 tea towel.  If you do not wish to hire bedlinen and towels, then beat the recession and please bring your own.

 

 

HEATING AND ELECTRICITY

 

Heating is by electric heaters.  50 units of electricity per week is included in the price.

 

 

PARKING

 

Parking is free in adjacent streets - but do check parking signs.  There is a bus stop (20 metres away) at the harbour.  Sea View does not have a garden, yard, garage, bike shed nor off-street parking.

 

 

BIKES

 

Bikes can be hired on the island

 

 

 

ARRIVAL AND LEAVING TIMES

 

Arrival Time is normally between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.  (Alternative entry time may be possible, especially if you have far to travel, but only by prior arrangement).

 

Leaving Time is by 10.00am on date of departure.
